Remembering Rosemary Sanders: A Life Dedicated to Music and Faith

Rosemary Sanders, a cherished figure in South Bend, Indiana, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, music, and faith. Born on March 26, 1921, in Chicago, Illinois, Rosemary moved to South Bend at the tender age of five with her parents, Rolley and Helen Sanders.

From an early age, Rosemary displayed an extraordinary talent for music, particularly with the violin. She began her musical journey with private lessons at the Chicago Sherwood School of Music. Her passion and skill led her to perform with the Riley High School Orchestra, from which she graduated in 1939. Her talent was further recognized when she was accepted into the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, where she not only played but also shared her knowledge by teaching other students privately.
